That's the thing development has stopped. While the three that I did mention are still being developed. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't check out xara xtreme. It has a good interface. It's in the Ubuntu repositories and has implemented some features just a little more sensible than Inkscape has done it. When you use Inkscapes gradients, you know what I mean. Xara is also a lot faster and more versatile when exporting to bitmaps. There is one downside, though. Xara has some minor bugs, while development seems to have almost stopped.
