So this is Christmas

Merry Christmas, to those that believe in what Christmas is about.
The thing that gets me about Christmas is that we celebrate a day about the birth of a man that believed in helping your fellow person in times of need and all you see on the television are ads about buying material things that only help the corporations that want your hard earned money. You know if Jesus, if he was real or not, knew this is what would have happened he probably would have been on the down low when he performed his miracles.
If you really wanted to celebrate the birth of Christ, would you buy that car you cannot afford for your wife? Would you buy a diamond ring on layaway for that special someone? Of course not. The people who are actually buying the cars and the rings are the corporate CEO’s of marketing companies. You just have to love the way marketers try to hit your wallet around this time of year. Not even this time of year, try all year round.
How warped is television anyways. The marketers have figured to get to the real money they have to get to the consumers child not the consumer. All these commercials, that we adults see, are taken in a different light by children. Marketers are damaging the moral fiber of our children.
Do marketers care about your children and how their commercials affect them. No, they do not. As long as they get the password to your wallet and that password is guilt. “But all the other kids have” does this ring a bell.
Sure I believe in kids having toys, but at the way the marketers go about it, it is lacking basic scruples.
Christmas to me is when family gets together and have a good meal and talk about the things that families do.
