This is by far and away the best Linux operating system I have tried, and believe me, I’ve tried a few. It works out of the box, no hassle on installation …. but, did’nt get my webcam right away, however downloaded the driver “wxcam” through synaptic and hey presto one webcam up and running. The Redmond giant is no longer my main o/s as PCLinuxOS does it all and more, PLUS i do not have to beg Microsoft if I can use their system and fork out hundreds for drivers, hardware and system crashes. This system (pclos) has been running constantly for days on end, there has been no crashes, freezes or downloaded viruses … deep joy … it is brilliant even my wife loves the system as she was severely peed off with Windows xp, and totally disgusted with Windows Vista. We are now converts to the Linux community and boy, are we glad.

Go to the samsung website they have drivers for linux. Then go to the forum and don’t be shy about asking questions. I’m on a quest to learn everything I can and I usually start with my own set of stupid questions, but as long as I get answers and find out how something works my questions don’t seem to stupid. I used to use daniweb, but it seems to be riddle with a bunch of teeny boppers.

Been using PClinuxOS 2007 since Nov 07.
Best by far over other distros, I have only ONE problem I was using Linspire and my Samsung Laser Printer worked. I can get PCLOS to see it but it wont install. Such a pity.
Repository is excellent and ManDVD is super for making DVD’s from AVI files.
Would love to get into PCLOS a lot deeper but don’t know where to start.

Thanxz for using my vid!! I am honored!! Made the switch from M$ Sept. 07 and have not looked back!!! PCLinuxOs is by far the easiest Linux I tried and I tried a few!!! From printer sharing to application installs it just works out of the box!! PCLinuxOs 4ever!!!

Been using PCLinuxOS for about a year and its been a joy. I would recomend it to anyone new to Linux as the PCLinux control center will make setting up your hardware much simpler than other distros. Ive tried many other distros and some were very good but PCLinux is still my first choice for ease of use and configuration. And the support forum is great, very knowledgeable and friendly.
