First off, I would like to say Thank you to the creator of this blog post. It certainly seems as if it has helped many people and it helped me to get rid of that annoying mailer.

One note to others…

Be sure to exit or end the Mailer application prior to trying to delete it otherwise you will get an error much like Jeff did.

Im having some problems. When you listed that you should go to: click edit and select find from the drop-down menu, a panel should open up enter in the text field “gcnotifier” and press find next. When I do this, nothing happens? Can you help

Sorry but I really can’t find the HKEY_CURRENT_USER thing in My Computer. I have turned hidden folders off! Why can’t I see it??

Thanx so much …that stupid thing has been driving me nutz for a while now…i tried a few other removals ..they didn’t work ….your instuctions were very easy ..even for me ..as I’m not exactly 100% computer literate.

Never mind – I brought up the task manager to stop the application from running and then was able to successfully delete it. Thanks for help with everything else.
