Did Ron Paul blow that blimp up all by himself?

I am not one for professional politicians, especially republicans. Ron Paul seems to be the underdog with a growing following. Sure a good speech can sway any crowd, but where are the facts on this congressman’s congressional voting record. Well they are right here.
His supporters love him as do most supporters of politicians, but after looking at his voting record, I felt a little confused.
When he is not voting in congress some of his decision when he does vote are pretty unreal.
- Voted no on - Vote 18: H R 2: This bill would increase the federal minimum wage from $5.15 an hour to $7.25 an hour over two years.
- Voted no on - Vote 15: H R 1: This bill would implement many of the remaining recommendations proposed by the 9/11 Commission in 2004. The almost 300-page bill amends the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to give faster and more efficient funding to first responders.
- Voted no on - Vote 40: H R 6: This bill would repeal tax cuts to oil companies and mandate that they pay a fee to remove oil from the Gulf of Mexico. It would also fund renewable energy programs. The act would repeal a tax break that oil and gas firms received in 2004.
- Voted no on - Vote 1040: H R 1495: Water Resources Development Act
- Voted no on - Vote 1000: H R 505: Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act
- Voted no on - Vote 958: H R 2895: National Affordable Housing Trust Fund Act of 2007
And this is when he is voting in congress. From the looks of it I think he only works two weeks out of every month.
I am not here to burst anyone’s bubble. I am sure you would want your right to an abortion taken away from you. Read my lips, Republican.
