Take 2 :-P Here I talk about a Linux Distribution called Damn Small Linux which is under 50MB for the entire OS and all the apps included. You can run this in a Virtual Machine or download an “embedded” version (thanks to mag2ster for the heads up) .

    How do i install it?

  11. chrisaa94 Says:

yeah i have this on my pen drive and i dont use a virtual machine but i am still kinda confused..i cannot figure out to “save” what i have done. “save” as in the configuration settings i have made when i boot it up or things like that.

  12. topsyandpip56 Says:

You can make the screen recorder follow the virtual machine by clicking your mouse where the guest Operating system is. Or of course mouse integration!

i’ve been using SliTaz and it’s not very customizable from what i’ve seen. They’re “claimed” Firefox… Den Echo or something. So I don’t really like it.

  16. Dojan5 Says:

    WHY use DSL?
    Downsides:
    50MB ISO file
    UGLY!
Very few programs, none of which are really, user friendly

There is an alternative, called SliTaz
    ISO on 25MB
Looks WAY better than DSL, like Ubuntu Clearlooks
MORE programs, also more commonly known, Abiword instead of Beaver etc.
    A own repository
    Faster
    Desktop effects

    And much more.
Try it out, post a video on it too ;)

  17. lilmetalhead69 Says:

does VirtualBox work with windows xp?

  20. benxhshkup Says:

the embedded runs windowed however you can change that with crtl+alt+f at least for me it works however don’t use it that way better get a virtual machine :)

  21. mag2ster Says:

You can go to full-screen by pressing ctl-alt-F.

  22. JaxDragon1 Says:

Does the embedded run full-screen or windowed? I am interested in this because I want to try developing on linux :)

  23. Undertaker8503 Says:

Duncan, I got this on my Pen Drive but when I try and use it it keeps telling me to hit Ctrl + Alt but it won’t even let me try it =/

  24. mobilephone2003 Says:

  25. ramarlv200 Says:

Nice! Wouldn’t you want to wait a few months for Atom to launch though?
