Turkey Day I Guess?

by me

Forgot to get my hungry man turkey t.v. dinner, oh well. Just another day. I am currently working on a flash game, that will probably take up the whole day and night. Whenever my body tells me to quit, I sleep.

I will work for money, just not for someone else. Kind of a contradiction in terms, of course I will have to work for someone else. As long as it’s clients and not a BOSS. I would rather set my own rules and terms, instead of reading a 30 page book on how I should be a team player and conduct myself . Usually, I have noticed,  when I am in a team player atmosphere the team is always on break and how I conduct myself has nothing to do with my work performance.

I’ve seen a lot of business’s in my time, some were run very professionally  and others, well let’s just say, they were just running into the ground. The thing you will always notice when a business is run well are: the employees want to come to work and are happy to be there, the boss has a time is life attitude and does not yell at employees ( if that’s your bread and butter why would you yell at them?), they always pay for things that they can not do themselves, the owner knows happy employees make happy customers, there are more but I have to work on my flash game.

Things you will notice when a company is being run into the ground: A boss or owner who always thinks people are screwing him out of money, A yelling boss or a be-littler ( when you yell at an employee or belittle them in front of other employees even the other employees will think “What a jerk!! Why am  I wasting my time here making that jerk richer!!”), employees will tell the customers the foibles of the owner, their are many more but like I said I have a game to write.

Unfortunately it’s a cut throat world. Some people realize the value of a person and some just realize it when it’s too late and they have to start all over again with another employee. I find it funny how some people think they are above others, such a lack of compassion and understanding. Remember you are a person, not someones pet and the way things are going with employers and minimum wage, you have to be your own boss.

If you have any stories about a jerk boss or even an awesome boss, please leave a comment, thank you for your time.

Reality

by me

Now it is time to make some money for myself by myself. The way I plan to do this is undetermined, but what I do know is this:

1.  Never pay to sell someone else’s products. If they are e-books they are usually out of date and everyone else has them already. If someone is going to sell you a list then the list is probably outdated. It is surprising how much hype is out their to sell and make millions. It’s almost parasitic the way people try to sell.

2. You always need more than one website to sell. You will never sell adspace and live with just one site. Their are exceptions but they usually have a Google ranking of 5 or better.

3. You can always sell your services, but the Internet is a big place and their are probably one hundred more thinking exactly the way you are.

4. Never give up, these are what they call the salad days. Meaning salad for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

5. You get what you pay for. if it’s free, need I say more?

6. Cut throat, forget your pride and realize the only person that cares about you is you.

7. Anyone trying to sell a list of e-mail addresses is crazy. Everyone I know is on a list, unfortunately and when we receive e-mail about the next best thing. How many other people do you think have received the same thing?

8. Research. it’s all about the research and what you learn from it. Unfortunately, no-one will share the secret, in other words, if you had a clue would you give it?

9. Trial and error. if you find error after the trial, remember, try and try again.

10. I would rather be broke than work for someone and make them richer.
